This Weekend
This weekend was a long one. Not just because it was Labor Day and we had Monday off. We went to Heather's parents in St. Louis for the weekend. Tony has been struggling with his health for over a year now since he had to have his pancreas removed. We decided last minute to go and visit because Tony was released from the hospital after spending a week in the ICU. We went to be an encouragement. In the process of the weekend Tony and Gayle talked to us about there wishes when they die. As Tony began to talk about his life my eyes slowly drifted up to the ceiling. As he talked about the life that he has had and the experience that have always been good, that no matter where he has lived they have always been happy I began to take stock of my life. It is unfortunate that it is not until the end of our lives that we really step back and look at the life that we have had. I thank the Lord that Tony is a believer in Jesus Christ and that he has hope. Pray for Tony and Gayle as they walk through a very difficult chapter in their lives.
